We are pleased to announce structural changes to meet the demand of additional services offered.
The Agency has recently won two competitive bids to provide expanded crisis services. Specifically, the provision of Mobile Crisis Services for the County of San Luis Obispo and a new Crisis Stabilization Unit in Nevada County.
This exciting growth, combined with the the quality provision of existing services, requires strong support and expertise. In order to continue our success, the following two positions have been created within the Agency’s management and administrative structure:
Ben Lopez has been named Director of Crisis Services for Sierra Mental Wellness Group.
Ryan Walsh is the General Manager of Crisis Services for the Agency.

Mary O’Mara joins us as the new Director of Finance and Human Resources!
Mary has been a manager in Human Resource for the last 15 years. She has an extensive amount of knowledge and experience in finance and business.
Ixel Morell will be managing the contracts for our crisis and mental health services.
Ixel has direct experience with SMWG, in his role as a manager with Placer County. With over 20 years of experience in this field, he brings an extensive amount of understanding and expertise to this role.

Through Placer County Office of Education, Sierra Mental Wellness Group is excited to provide a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Training opportunity this month!Monday, April 29th and Tuesday, April 30th!
The MHFA training is recommended for a wide range of individuals involved in work with the general public, from law enforcement and school personnel, to business leaders and volunteers.
This course qualifies for CEU’s (Continuing Education Units) and is completely FREE of charge to participants.

Debbie has successfully passed the second round of testing to earn her Marriage and Family Therapy licensure and she plans to continue in school to further her education.
